Jan Fox-Petersen

Jan Fox-Petersen, EdD, has been leading an initiative in peace building and restorative practices in education and in the community for over 12 years. She served in Wichita Public Schools as a School Psychologist for over 20 years.  In her current role as an educational consultant and restorative practices innovator, leader, and practitioner, she serves educators, leaders, young people, parents, individuals, families, and organizations in building and maintaining rich relationships, and healing and repairing conflict, when conflict has occurred.

Dr. Fox-Petersen has presented in conferences across the country, is an approved dispute resolution provider, a trainer for the Kansas Institute of Peace and Conflict Resolution (KIPCOR), and is trained by and affiliated with the International Institute of Restorative Practices (IIRP). She combines her knowledge and experiences in Restorative Practices, trauma sensitive care and resiliency, and mediation to train and support individuals and groups in maximizing growth and resiliency.

Dr. Fox-Petersen has published articles, written curriculum, and created training materials in restorative approaches. She supports individuals, families, communities, businesses, and educational institutions in growth mindsets, focusing on communication, healthy relationships, and inclusive approaches to problem solving and leadership.
